Many of you have faced it. The dreaded job search. The horrors of online job boards. The ghost postings. The empty feeling as you click apply with a growing certainty that you will never hear any response from this employer. This has been a rough year for me and that's where I landed. The job search.
But I decided to think bigger this time. Not just: “how can I try and make my existing skills look good to a different type of employer?”, but “what skills could I learn to open doors to new opportunities?”
What did I find when I considered my existing skills, my personality, and a peek at the world around me: data analysis.
Specifically, a Google Career Certificate in data analytics. I started the course, unsure if I was crazy for even doing it. But to my surprise it was interesting. Data is everywhere, more and more as technology advances. Why shouldn't I learn what to do with it?
With this blog, I decided to put my Adventures in Analysis out there.
Maybe I can inspire a few people out there wanting a change?
Maybe I can invite in some people who want to chat about data?
Maybe I can lure in some advice from those much further along in their adventures than I?
Or maybe I can simply entertain a few people who stumbled upon my rambles?
If you fit any of those categories, welcome to my Adventures in Analysis!
Embark on a transformative journey with Adventures In Analysis. Discover the possibilities of data-driven decision-making and career advancement today.
